KDA Rocket Spirit
At KDA, we encourage wearing the school uniform or KDA Rocket Gear to build community and school pride! KDA teachers wear their school polos on Mondays and KDA T-shirts or hoodies on Fridays! Please check with the office if you are in need of KDA shirts, patches, and swag!

ParentSquare is our school communication platform that teachers, staff, and families use every day to build close-knit communities by sharing what’s being learned in the classroom home through photos, videos, and messages. This is also where we will share digital announcements and calendars, so families are kept up to date on events and important information for school.
KDA values strong and meaningful partnerships in the education of our learners. There is no better advocate for your children than you! For this reason, Team Parents are a vital part of our school community to bring family voices to the forefront.
What do Team Parents Do?
Team Parents serve as the point person between the teacher and class parents. You will work along with your child’s classroom teacher, classroom parents, and school admin to:
• Coordinate classroom readers and volunteer schedules
• Plan class parties and events, e.g. Birthday Friday, holiday celebrations, etc.
• Communicate about and assist with school-wide events, e.g. Fall Carnival, Winter Wonderland, Teacher Appreciation Week, etc.
That may seem like a lot – but have no fear! You don’t need to do it all yourself!
AC Transit Discounts
Youth, seniors, and riders with disabilities can receive discount fares and passes to ride AC Transit. Discount fares can be purchased using cash on board buses with valid ID, with Clipper by applying for a discount Clipper card, through AC Transit’s mobile payment platform, and at the AC Transit Customer Service Center.
